Jibsheet - weekly update 08/10/26
With the AGM tomorrow night (8pm in the Clubhouse), and our End of Season Regatta this weekend (don't forget that racing starts at the earlier time of 1.30pm on Saturday!) the 2026 sailing season is almost over. Having said that, we do have several socials and sailing events to look forward to, including the Autumn Passage Race on 17th October - find out more about all of these events in our Jibsheet newsletter

Hi everyone, The last week has seen the Junior Regatta and Open Dinghy Weekend take place at HSC - with a breezy day on Saturday and contrasting very light winds on Sunday. This weekend sees both a Yare & Bure Open take place over both days (more information below) and an Open Downriver Race to Thurne on Sunday. Hi everyone, With the evenings now noticeably darker, most of our evening activities will be finishing this week - so do make the most of this opportunity to get on the water before the end of season. Hi everyone, After a short break, Jibsheet is back - and somehow, unbelievably, it's almost September, and our season's activities are starting to come to a close, with just a couple of weeks of Sundown, training and paddleboarding left as the evenings are drawing in. Hi everyone, Last week saw the Pursuit Race and Social take place, alongside Keelboat weekend - there was a particularly strong turnout for the Pursuit race, which saw a variety of dinghies and keelboats take part - congratulations to the overall winner Hamish Harmer, sailing his Laser. Hi everyone, Today is the start of Keelboat weekend, followed by our Pursuit Race and Social. Remember that all are welcome for the Pursuit Race - an ideal opportunity to get on the water in the sunshine, and there's even a couple of trophies up for grabs! Hi everyone, The sunshine has continued in Norfolk and it's been a very warm few days! Today our Sundown series will continue from 4pm, and tomorrow's racing will be a Downriver to Thurne - you can enter here . It's looking to be a lovely day! The rest of the week sees several activities taking place, including paddleboarding, women on the water and training, then Friday sees the annual Strawberries and Champagne fundraising
