After the glorious weather of the last few days, Sundays cooler temperatures and stronger breeze came as somewhat of a shock for Club racing at Horning Sailing Club over the weekend. Despite this, sailors were not deterred from turning out, particularly amongst the dinghies, and a good days racing was enjoyed. Although the winds were stronger and gustier on Racing Reach, causing one boat to take a quick visit to the reeds and two retirements, around the corner the wind was much patchier, making reaching the buoys beyond the Broad entrance challenging. Toby Fields and SteveMiddleditch each took a win in the Yeoman class, whilst JohnMeans triumphed in the Yares & Bures sailing PaintedJezebel, and in the Laser fleet HamishHarmer achieved two wins plus a second and third, with JasmineHerring also achieving two wins and two seconds. Karlina and DevonBulldeath shared honours in the Toppers, while younger sister Indie showed great determination in the Optimists. Steve Middleditch, helming Yeoman Scorpio, added two more afternoon wins in the mixed Allcomers race.
