Club racing - 13th April 2025
Horning Sailing Clubs racing on Sunday saw lively conditions on the river, with a good breeze providing for an exciting day of racing. There was a great turnout of sailors making the most of the favourable weatherespecially the dinghies, which thrived in the breeze. It was also great to see three Reedlings out on the water, an established Broads class based in Horning, with only eleven boats in existence. In the morning Reedling races, Ezra and Stuart

In the Keelboats, the biggest fleet of the day were the Yeomans, who were competitive, despite several small gear failures during the days racing. Toby Fields (Tanskey) won the first race of the day by a narrow margin from Geoff

23rd March Racing on the River - start of the full 2025 season!

Despite the river looking like a mill pond on arrival, as racing began a gentle breeze picked up to provide pleasant conditions, if a little light on racing reach at times. The keelboats

A mixed fleet of keelboats, ranging from Yare & Bures to Yeomans, and dinghies ranging in size from Optimists to Lasers enjoyed getting on the river for two races in the sunshine. A great day's sailing at HSC
It was a gentle start to the 2025 sailing season, with a glorious spring day on the River Bure at Horning. Whilst the day had begun with a sharp frost, this quickly cleared with blue skies and warm sunshine. A light but steady breeze provided perfect conditions for a relaxed yet enjoyable day of sailing. The river, still quiet at this early stage of the season, provided an ideal opportunity for sailors to get back on
