Sailing at the Heart of the Norfolk Broads

Senior Instructor: Dinghy

I have been sailing my entire life, I was a passenger in a Norfolk Dingy when I was just learning to walk. I also went as a passenger in a river cruiser but I was quite naughty throwing stuff out of boat and pretending I was a pirate. As a family we were asked by Colin to come down to the sailing club to help out on the Thursday evening, this was also beneficial to us as we were looking for a new club to join that have a large dinghy fleet and new people to sail against. At the same time I was completing my dinghy instructor and powerboat at NSSA Filby, with these qualifications I was then able to teach the intermediate group with Rodney. I have now been helping out on Thursday for two years and I have also finished my first seasons as an instructor at Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre. The most exciting thing I have done whilst sailing is being in the youth squad for topper travelling around the UK doing the national and regional circuit.
